Y25.2 release highlights

This release delivers new features and Voice of the Customer (VoC) enhancements. They'll streamline admin, automate workflows, and elevate the employee experience so you can focus on what matter most; your people.

Enhanced Objective and Feedback (GA)

A software release available to all customers, for deployment into production orgs.

Building on the redesigned Performance Overview released in Y24.2, we’re now bringing the same modern UI and streamlined experience to Enhanced Objectives and Feedback. This improvement dramatically cuts the time employees spent on each review.

What’s more, the redesign delivers a major boost in system performance. We expect the loading times for the Performance Management process to improve by over 50%, making the experience faster and more responsive for everyone.

We've released this with the ability to toggle the functionality on and off, so you can roll out at your own pace. We expect to remove the toggle in approximately 12 months time to coincide with the Y26.2 release.

After that release, we’ll remove older features like the legacy WX Processes Performance Reviews (now replaced by Performance Overview) and Objectives (now replaced by Enhanced Objectives). This helps make sure everyone’s using the latest and best versions.

Voice of the Customer (VoC) enhancements

With our VoC initiative, we dedicate 40% of our resources to delivering the enhancements you’ve requested via the Customer Ideas Portal. View and vote on existing ideas already raised, check the status of an idea already submitted, or raise a new idea.

In this release, we’ve addressed the following requests for you:

IDEA-I-71 Performance: HR Noticeboards for Enhanced Objectives and Feedback

HR Noticeboards for Enhanced Objectives & Feedback, allowing you to provide additional information or guidance about these processes to their employees.

IDEA-I-76  Performance: Deep links within emails 
Deep links within emails generated via Sage People will now send employees directly to the related content within Sage People. This reduces the time spent searching for information, encourages engagement with the content and creates personalized, tailored communications for employees. 
IDEA-I-88 Performance: Actions page access
We’ve removed the need to log in again when accessing WX via the mobile app. This removes friction from processes on the go, making access to the information you need easier.
  Performance: Improved loading speed  
Reduction in the time taken to load enhanced objectives and feedback pages so that work can get done quicker and experiences are frictionless.
IDEA-I-399 Performance: Save feedback as draft
While completing feedback, you can now save a draft and come back to complete it later rather than completing the action in one go.
IDEA-I-91  Performance: Auto-save enhanced objectives and feedback
The system automatically saves populated information when developing objectives and providing feedback. Avoid information getting lost and/or deleted if you forget to save, get distracted, switch applications, or the system times out.  
IDEA-I-422 Performance: Grouping objectives
The system now groups Enhanced Objectives by their status, allowing users to find what they need more easily.
IDEA-I-449 Performance: Watched objectives
There’s now a dedicated area to track watched objectives. This makes it easier for colleagues to find any objectives they’re watching, increasing transparency, trust and alignment among employees.
IDEA-I-459 Performance: Access objectives of cross-reports
Managers can now access objectives of cross-reports, saving users time from having to add their cross-reporting managers as Watchers for their objectives.
IDEA-I-506 Performance: Closed objectives
Closed objectives now have their own dedicated section, keeping the main view focused on current goals and reducing screen clutter for employees.

Performance: Help text
Help text is now available for Enhanced Objectives and Feedback. Employees can understand what input they require with the system providing additional information about certain fields.

All action buttons in the Performance and Enhanced Objectives area are now visible by default—no need to click the dropdown arrow to access them.

People Management Workflow: Action event logs
Action Event Logs are now available, enabling HR Admins to track and review triggered events for greater visibility and control.

IDEA-I-113 Absence: Additional calendar colors

Absence calendars now offer more color options, making it easier to visually distinguish between different absence types at a glance.

Managers can now view Enhanced Objectives and Feedback across their teams in one place—saving time and simplifying navigation.

Performance: Field set overrides
Field set overrides allow customers to tailor objective templates for different employee groups, supporting policy-specific configurations.

HR Portal: People Management Workflow

Introducing People Management Workflow in the HR Portal—HR Managers can now create HR Requests through a streamlined, step-by-step experience.
Candidate to Team Member: File Transfer
You can now transfer files seamlessly when moving a successful candidate into a team member role, ensuring continuity and easy access to relevant documents.
