Configuring access for cross reporting manager types

Role: HR Administrator

Sage People recognizes four types of cross reporting managers:

  • Manager

  • Supervisor

  • Mentor

  • Project Manager

You can choose which cross reporting manager types have access to Performance Management. Granting a cross manager type access to Performance Management means:

  • Cross reporting managers can see and participate in their cross reports' Conversations.

  • Cross reporting managers are by default watchers of their cross reports' Objectives.

  • Cross reporting managers can create Feedback requests for their cross reports and view Feedback requests about the cross reports made by the cross report's line manager and by the cross report themselves.

For more information on how to set up a team member as a cross report, see Setting up cross reporting. Only cross reporting managers with Edit access can view the cross reporting team member's details and perform actions in Performance Management.

To grant access to cross reporting manager types: 

  1. Go to SetupPlatform ToolsAppsPackaging > Installed Packages.

  2. Select Configure next to Sage People Performance Management:

    Sage People displays the Performance Management Configuration Details page.

  3. Go to the Cross Reporting Managers section:

  4. Select the cross reporting manager types you want to give access to Performance Management.

  5. Select Save.
