Apply start and end dates to delegated access

Sage People Delegated Access lets you grant access to a nominated person - an assistant - to complete WX actions on behalf of another. The system grants the assistant the same level of access as the person they're representing.

You can restrict access to specific processes.

Note To use this feature, you'll need to assign the appropriate Permission sets. For fully updated lists, see Sage People HR Administrator HCM and Sage People HR Manager HCM.

From the Y25.1 release, you can control the period of delegation by giving start and end dates. We've added new Start Date and End Date fields to the Assistant Assignments related list on the Roles page.

The start date and end date for assignments are also visible in the Assisted By and Assisted To related lists on Team Member record pages.

Following the upgrade, a start date of today or a future date is mandatory for all delegations. For existing delegations, a batch job runs as part of the Y25.1 release. This is to assign the created date as the start date automatically.

The system retains delegation records to let you reuse them by changing start and end dates. You can delete delegation records manually when you no longer need them.
