Apply start and end dates to delegated access

Sage People Delegated Access enables you to grant access to a nominated person - an assistant - to complete WX actions on behalf of another. The assistant is granted the same level of access as the person they are representing. You can restrict access to specific processes.

From the Y25.1 release you can control the period of delegation by giving start and end dates. New Start Date and End Date fields have been added to the Assistant Assignments related list on the Roles page:

The start date and end date for assignments are also visible in the Assisted By and Assisted To related lists on Team Member record pages.

Following the upgrade, a start date of today or a future date is mandatory for all delegations. For existing delegations, a batch job runs as part of the Y25.1 release to automatically assign the created date as the start date.

Delegation records are retained to enable you to reuse them by changing start and end dates. You can delete delegation records manually when they are no longer required.
