Changing app names in the App Launcher

The App Launcher, displayed at the top left of all pages in the HR Manager Portal, lists all applications available to you. The Launcher lists default names supplied with the applications. You can edit the displayed names for many of the listed applications, for example to use local names for applications used in multiple countries. To change the name of a listed app:

  1. In Salesforce Lightning Experience go to Setup > User Interface > Translation Workbench > Translate.

  2. In Language select the language you want to edit.

Local language App names are displayed for all Users with their user records set to use that language.

  3. In Setup Component select App.

  4. In the list of Master App Labels find the App label you want to edit.

  5. Double click in the App Label Translation column and enter the label as you want it to be displayed in the App Menu.

  6. Select Save.

Sage People confirms your changes have been saved. Your changes are available immediately in the App Launcher for all users of your org.

You can also change the order and visibility of apps in the App Launcher:

  1. In Salesforce Lightning Experience go to Setup > User Interface > App Menu.

Sage People displays the App Menu page.

  2. Drag and drop each app into the position you want it to appear in the App Launcher.

  3. To hide or show apps in the App Launcher, hover over the right column setting and select to change between Hidden in App Launcher and Visible in App Launcher.

Your changes take effect immediately, there is no Save option.
