Assigning Work Days Patterns

Work Days Patterns can be assigned to:

  • A Policy to apply to all Team Members using that Policy. This can be through the Policy assigned to the HR Department the Team Member is associated with, or through the Policy Override in the Team Member record.
  • Individual Team Members, through their Employment Records.

How you assign Work Days Patterns in your org depends on a number of factors, such as: 

  • do you have Team Members working to a different weekly pattern from the majority of other employees? For example, part-time with fewer working days per week, or staff working Monday to Friday and Sunday to Thursday.

  • which groups of Team Members have the same public holidays? 

To assign a Work Days Pattern to a Policy: 

  1. Select the Policies tab.

  2. Select the policy where you want to assign the Work Days Pattern.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Scroll to the Work Days Patterns field, and use the lookup to find and select the Work Days Pattern you want to assign.

    If you have not created a Work Days Pattern yet, you can select New and follow the steps to create one.

  5. Select Save.

To assign a Work Days Pattern to a Team Member: 

  1. Select the Team Members tab.

  2. Select the Team Member to whom you want to assign the Work Days Pattern.

  3. Select the link in the Current Employment field.

  4. On the Employment Record, select Edit for the Work Days Pattern field.

  5. Use the lookup to select the Work Days Pattern you want to assign.

  6. Select Save.

If you have multiple Team Members to whom you want to individually assign a Work Days Pattern, you can use a data loader.
